Monika Glowacka-Musial
Biography
Monika earned an MA in Polish literature and language from the University of Warsaw, Poland, and a PhD in anthropology from the Temple University in Philadelphia, PA. She subsequently taught anthropology courses at Pima Community College and taught Polish as a second language at the Critical Languages Program at the University of Arizona, and at the Arizona Polish Club (APC). Her involvement in the Polish American community in Tucson, AZ led her to establish the Polish Library and Archives at APC and encouraged her to pursue a MA in library science with a Digital Information Management Certificate (DigIn) at the University of Arizona. Monika joined the NMSU library as metadata librarian in August 2016. Her current research interests include data analysis and visualization, natural language processing, including topic modeling.
