Biography

Meg Eastwood is the Institutional Scholarship Librarian and liaison to the Sciences and Engineering. She has over ten years of experience as a science and engineering librarian, including work in scholarly communications and data management. Her current big project is launching the Digital Commons @ NMSU open-access repository, debuting in Fall 2026. Meg holds a BA in Biology from Grinnell College and an MS in Information Studies from The University of Texas at Austin. In the years between those degrees, she worked as a field assistant for ecological studies and as a lab preparator for the Shoals Marine Lab on Appledore Island, ME. Before joining the NMSU faculty in December 2025, Meg served as a science and engineering librarian at the University of Denver, the University of New Hampshire, and Northern Arizona University.
