Mathematics Resources

This guide is divided into the following sections:

Students in mathematics may consult this guide for links to major websites in mathematics, and for information about other NMSU library resources (reference books, journals, CD-ROMS, indexes, etc.). It is not intended as a comprehensive list, but as a guide to the best starting points for research.

Direct links are provided for resources that are available on the WWW. Subscription databases are available to NMSU students, faculty and staff and generally require that you go through a gateway.

Electronic Research Tools with Mathematics Coverage

MathSciNet, http://www.ams.org/msnprhtml/review_search.html
A searchable Web database providing access to Mathematical Reviews and Current Mathematical Publications from 1940 to the present. Produced by the American Mathematical Society.

SciSearch - Science Citation Index,http://lib.nmsu.edu/resources/dbsci.html
SciSearch is an electronic database based on the Science Citation Index, an international, multidisciplinary index to the journal literature of science and technology produced by the Institute for Scientific Information. Updated weekly, SciSearch covers the 3,300 journals from Science Citation Index plus an additional 1,300 publications in science and technology. Mathematics coverage is limited.
