NMSU Library Hosts New Mexico Foundation for Open Government’s Transparency Summer Camp
The New Mexico Foundation for Open Government has partnered with the New Mexico Press Association, the Society of Professional Journalists Rio Grande Chapter and New Mexico In Depth to host Transparency Summer Camp: How to find and use government data online. They will be hosting their Transparency Camp at the NMSU Library on Thursday, July 21.
New Mexico In Depth’s premier data journalist Sandra Fish, along with FOG’s executive director Susan Boe will conduct a training seminar about following online government information to track campaign contributions and candidate spending. They will examine how to use web-based databases, like the Sunshine Portal, to find and use public records. They will also discuss recent Inspection of Public Records Act developments and how to fine-tune IPRA requests.
