Dennis Daily, NMSU Archives & Special Collections
For immediate release – Las Cruces, N.M.
A new exhibit at the NMSU Branson Library highlights United States Senator Pete V. Domenici’s work during his 36 years in Congress. Drawing from materials in Domenici’s vast archive, housed in the library’s Archives and Special Collections department, the exhibit focuses on three important areas of the senator’s work – Nuclear non-proliferation and Russia relations, the USA (Unlimited Savings Allowance) Tax reform initiative, and New Mexico military base alignment and closures. In each of these areas, Domenici’s efforts have had significant impacts for the people of New Mexico and for the country as a whole. The exhibit can be seen in the Domenici Gallery, Branson Library second floor.
