New Mexico State University Library Secures Full Access to Valuable Research Database
The New Mexico State University Library announces the full subscription access to the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers/Institute of Engineering and Technology Electronic Library (IEEE/IEL) database package. This complete resource will have a positive impact for those across many different disciplines such as electrical and computer engineering, biotechnology, computer science, aerospace engineering, energy technology, and transportation.
Two IEEE representatives will be on campus Tuesday, November 3, and Wednesday, November 4, to celebrate this new campus library resource and give hour-long workshops. These events, including the workshops, are free and open to the public.
On Tuesday, November 3, information from the representatives and an informal Q&A will be in the Thomas & Brown Hall first floor lobby from 10:30 a.m. to noon. The Wednesday, November 4, meet and greet will be held in first floor atrium of Science Hall, also from 10:30 a.m. to noon.
Also on Tuesday and Wednesday, the representatives will be offering workshops on best practices for searching the database titled, “The IEEE Xplore Digital Library: Insider Tips and What’s New.” Users will be given tactics for successful searching of the database. Tuesday’s session will be in Thomas & Brown in Room 204 at 5:30 p.m. and Wednesday’s session will be Science Hall Room 107 at 3 p.m. Refreshments will be served.
