Unless otherwise indicated, remote access to these databases is available only to NMSU faculty, students, and staff.

  • Business and Company Resource Center
    • Includes company profiles, brand information, rankings, investment reports, company histories, chronologies and periodicals. Search this database to find detailed company and industry news and information.


  • Business Source Premier
    • As the world's largest full text business database, Business Source Premier provides full text for nearly 3,800 scholarly business journals, including full text for more than 1,100 peer-reviewed business publications. Coverage includes virtually all subject areas related to business. This database provides full text (PDF) for more than 350 of the top scholarly journals dating as far back as 1922 for some titles. This database is updated on a daily basis via EBSCOhost.


  • CIAO (Columbia International Affairs Online)
    • A comprehensive source for theory and research in international affairs. It publishes a wide range of scholarship from 1991 onward that includes working papers from university research institutes, occasional papers series from NGOs, foundation-funded research projects, proceedings from conferences, books, journals and policy briefs.


  • Communication & Mass Media Complete
    • Communication & Mass Media Complete is the premier database in the research fields of communication and mass media, indexing and abstracting 400 journals, 200 of which are available full text. Indexing coverage for most titles is from the early 1990s to the present. Citation searching is available from 2003 to the present.


  • EconLit
    • Contains citations, with abstracts, to articles from more than 600 economics journals. In addition, subject indexing and abstracts of books and subject indexing of dissertation titles are included.  Coverage: 1969-present.


  • Emerald Fulltext Library
    • Emerald provides full text access to over 100 journals in the fields of Business, Marketing, Education, Engineering, Management, Food and Nutrition Science, Healthcare Management and Library Science. Coverage years vary by title but most titles are available full text from the mid 1990s to the present.


  • GreenFILE
    • GreenFILE offers scholarly, government and general-interest titles that cover all aspects of human impact on the environment. Specifically it includes content on the environmental effects of individuals, corporations and local/national governments, and what can be done on each level to minimize negative impact. Topics covered include global warming, green building, pollution, sustainable agriculture, renewable energy, recycling, and more. It is multidisciplinary, drawing on the connections between the environment and a variety of disciplines such as agriculture, education, law, health and technology.


  • International Abstracts of Human Resources
    • Comprehensive journal of abstracts in human resource management. Abstracts of articles from 53 of the most prestigious journals, including the International Journal of Human Resource Management, Human Resource Management, Organization Studies, and Journal of Management Studies.


  • JSTOR
    • Archive of scholarly journals. JSTOR does not include issues from recent volumes, usually the last 2 to 5 years.


  • Literary Market Place
    • Literary Market Place (LMP) is the directory of America and Canadian book publishing. For more than 50 years, LMP has been the resource consulted for those looking for industry data, whether they are publishing professional, authors, industry watchers, or those seeking to gain entry into the world of publishing.


  • Mergent Online
    • Mergent Online is an Internet-based suite of information resources that enables in-depth business and financial research. Click on the Enter Mergent Online button on the top left of the screen.


  • NetAdvantage
    • Database includes online access to these Standard & Poor's financial publications: Corporation Records, Bond Guide, Dividend Records, Earnings Guide, Industry Surveys, The OUTLOOK, Register of Corporations, Directors and Executives, Stock Guides and Stock Reports.


  • PAIS
    • Index to the literature on public affairs. Coverage: 1972-present. Available from Cambridge Scientific Abstracts.


  • PAIS Archive
    • Older files for PAIS. 1915 - 1976; available from Cambridge Scientific Abstracts.


  • PsycINFO
    • PsycINFO contains citations and summaries of journal articles, book chapters, books, and technical reports, as well as citations to dissertations, all in the field of psychology and psychological aspects of related disciplines, such as medicine, psychiatry, nursing, sociology, education, pharmacology, physiology, linguistics, anthropology, business, and law. Journal coverage, spanning 1887-present, includes international material selected from more than 1,300 periodicals written in over 25 languages.


  • Regional Business News
    • Regional Business News incorporates 75 business journals, newspapers and newswires covering all metropolitan and rural areas within the United States.

  • Risk Abstracts
    • Provides a comprehensive source for interdisciplinary perspectives in this evolving field ranging from public and environmental health to social issues and psychological aspects. Indexes 736 research publications from 1990 to the present. From Cambridge Scientific Abstracts.
