- America: History and Life
- Access to article abstracts in over 2000 history journals; regional focus on the United States and other countries in North America.
- American Periodical Series Online, 1740-1900
- This unique collection contains digitized images of the pages of American magazines and journals that originated between 1741, when Andrew Bradford's American Magazine and Benjamin Franklin's General Magazine were launched, and 1900. Deriving from the acclaimed American Periodicals Series microform collection, APS Online features over 1,100 periodicals spanning nearly 200 years-from colonial times to the advent of American involvement in World War II. Titles range from America's first scientific journal, Medical Repository, to popular magazines like Vanity Fair and Ladies' Home Journal.
- American State Papers, 1789-1838
- The American State Papers provides primary source material on many aspects of early American history from 1789 to 1838 and consists of approximately 6280 numbered publications, largely Congressional but also containing Executive Department materials, issued from 1832-1861. Unlike the U.S. Congressional Serial Set, the publications in the American State Papers are not divided into reports and documents and do not include House and Senate journals. Approximately two-thirds of the publications cover the first 14 Congresses (1789-1817), whereas the remaining third chronologically overlap with the Serial Set from 1817-1838.

- The digital Archive of Americana is a family of comprehensive historical collections that allows researchers to discover and explore the United States in unprecedented depth and detail. The unique primary source materials offer opportunities for students and scholars to make original discoveries and new findings on nearly every aspect of the United States over nearly three centuries. The Archive of Americana includes: American State Papers, 1789-1838; the U.S. Congressional Serial Set, 1817-1980; and the Serial Set Maps.
- Art Full Text
- Art Full Text is a bibliographic database that indexes and abstracts articles from periodicals published throughout the world. Full-text coverage for selected periodicals is also included. Periodical coverage includes English-language periodicals, yearbooks, and museum bulletins, as well as periodicals published in French, Italian, German, Japanese, Spanish, Dutch, and Swedish. In addition to articles, Art Full Text indexes reproductions of works of art that appear in indexed periodicals. Indexing coverage begins 1984; abstracting coverage begins with January 1994. Full-text coverage begins in 1997.
- Grove Art Online
- A comprehensive online reference resource for all aspects of the visual arts worldwide from prehistory to the present day. Grove Art Online features more than 45,000 signed articles, 5,500 images, 40,000 image links, timelines of world art, MoMA lesson plans, and Art Resource. It also includes access to the full text of the Encyclopedia of Aesthetics, the Concise Oxford Dictionary of Art Terms, and the Oxford Companion to Western Art.
- Grove Music Online
- Grove Music Online includes the full text of The New Grove Dictionary of Music and Musicians, second edition; The New Grove Dictionary of Opera; and The New Grove Dictionary of Jazz, second edition. ?It also includes access to the full text of the Oxford Companion to Music and the Oxford Dictionary of Music.
- Historical Abstracts
- Access to article abstracts in over 2000 history journals; coverage Europe, Asia, Africa, South America.
- History Reference Center
- The database features full text for more than 2,300 reference books, encyclopedias and non-fiction books from leading history publishers. It also includes full text for more than 130 leading history periodicals and more than 61,100 historical documents; more than 66,000 biographies of historical figures; more than 110,200 historical photos and maps; and more than 80 hours of historical video.
- JSTOR
- Archive of scholarly journals. JSTOR does not include issues from recent volumes, usually the last 2 to 5 years.
- Linguistics and Language Behavior Abstracts
- Covers all aspects of the study of language including phonetics, phonology, morphology, syntax and semantics, providing citations to articles from 1973 to the present. Available from Cambridge Scientific Abstracts. Updated monthly.

- A comprehensive online literature database providing biographical, bibliographical and contextual information on authors and their works, from all time periods and from around the world. Literature Resource Center includes full-text essays and reviews from over 390 scholarly journals, full-text poems, short stories and plays, author interviews and access to Merriam-Webster's? Encyclopedia of Literature.
- MLA Bibliography
- Literature, languages, linguistics, and folklore from over journals and series published worldwide. Coverage: 1963-present.
- Music Index Online
- Topics concerned with every aspect of the classical and popular world of music are organized according to both subject and geographic headings. Covers all styles and genres of music, and includes book reviews, obituaries, new periodicals, and news and articles about music, musicians, and the music industry. 1979 - present.
- New York Times, 1851-2004
- The New York Times (1851-2004) offers full page and article images with searchable full text back to the first issue. The collection includes digital reproductions providing access to every page from every available issue.
- Oxford English Dictionary (OED)
- The largest dictionary of English, the OED is a historical dictionary: it covers the broadest range of current vocabulary and records the old uses of words and gives detailed descriptions of the history of a word.
- Philosopher's Index
- Available from Cambridge Scientific Abstracts, Philosopher's Index covers scholarly research in all areas of philosophy. It includes journal articles, books, book chapters such as contributions to an anthology, and book reviews from more than 550 journals, and it is updated quarterly. 1940 - present.
- PRISMA (Publicaciones y Revistas Sociales y Human?ticas)
- PRISMA (Publicaciones y Revistas Sociales y Human?ticas) offers full-text scholarly journals in the social sciences and humanities for the interdisciplinary academic study of Hispanic and Latin America and the Caribbean Basin.
- RILM
- Citations on international music corresponding to the printed RILM Abstracts of Music Literature. This file is produced by the Repertoire International de Litterature Musicale. Coverage: 1969-present.
- Sanborn Digital Maps: New Mexico
- Sanborn fire insurance maps are valuable historical tools for a wide variety of researchers--essentially anyone who wants to learn about the history, growth, and development of American cities, towns, and neighborhoods. These maps are large-scale plans containing data that can be used to estimate the potential risk for urban structures. This includes information such as the outline of each building, the size, shape and construction materials, heights, and function of structures, location of windows and doors. The maps also give street names, street and sidewalk widths, property boundaries, building use, and house and block numbers. Seven or eight different editions represent some areas. The New Mexico collection contains 209 maps from 51 cities, spanning a period from the 1880s to the late 1940s.
- Serial Set Maps
- Map images, records, and indexing for maps published in Reports and Documents of the 42nd Congress, 3rd session (1872) through the 52nd Congress, 1st session (1892).
- U.S. Congressional Serial Set, 1817-1980
- Begun in 1817 as the official collection of congressional reports and documents, this collection was published in a "serial" fashion, hence its name. This digitized version from Readex includes congressional documents from the 15th (1817) through the 70th (1928) Congress. The complete set should be completed by Fall 2008.
