Instructions: For each question give

See the handout, PsycLit on CD-ROM: The Details, for examples of search statements. For general help in searching, see the class notes from September 14, Electronic Searching Basics. Point your browser to http://lib.nmsu.edu/instruction/lsc311/beck/07notes.html to get the class notes.

Don't worry about putting the correct search line number down. Just write out your search statement.
EX: ATTRIBUTIONS IN TI AND ROMANIC IN TI AND PY=1995. It is important that you search and find the answer, however.

I am certain all of you can do this assignment on your own without asking for assistance.
Here's a couple of rules of thumb to guide you:

Turn in the assignment at the beginning of class on Wednesday, September 30th.

Please read each question carefully and thoroughly

  1. Walsh and Kurdek published an article in 1984 on gender differences in friendship. Give the full citation for the article.

  2. List the full citation and the institutional affiliation for an article titled "Suicide in Major Depression" in which E.T. Isometsa was one of the authors.

  3. What is the institutional affiliation and who are the authors of a journal article on the use of heuristic modeling as a problem solving method for the game of chess?

  4. You need the title and author of one study on the topic of the effects of caffeine on memory conducted on mice but not rats.
