Hands-on #4: Using the OLE Online Catalog

Purpose

• To become an exceptionally skilled user of the NMSU Library's Online Catalog
  
• To acquire search techniques and methods generally found in library online catalogs so that these can be transferred to any online catalog at any library.
• To gain an in-depth knowledge of the ways online catalogs function and are designed.

Instructions

1. Use the OLE Online Catalog available from the NMSU Library's Web Page.
2. Select Catalog from the main library web page, or,
3. From your web browser type, http://lib.nmsu.edu/catalog
4. DO NOT USE THE OLD VERSION OF OLE!
   If you really, really want to use the older version of OLE, I've got an extra credit assignment you can do for 25 Points.
   See me about the assignment and due dates.

   Once you are in the OLE Catalog, follow instructions on the screen.

   Search for them on the OLE Catalog. In the table below write
