Acquisitions Unit

The Acquisitions unit manages the materials budget of the Library and is responsible for acquiring the scholarly information resources to support the teaching, research and service missions of the University. New materials in many formats, including books, journals, microforms, audio/video, CDROMS, and electronic resources, are purchased and processed for the library collections. In the area of technical services, the unit manages several important processes that include monograph firm orders and approval plans, serials, gifts and exchange materials, and mending and preservation.
