Scope of Services:

Access Services provides equitable and efficient access to library resources, facilities and services. Covering a wide range of operations, the department oversees the physical management of the circulating collection, current periodicals, and microform and media materials. Related services are offered that provide local and global access to information in support of research, scholarly activity, and lifelong learning. Friendly and courteous staff are available anytime the library is open to answer questions and assist with locating materials.

Departmental Units:

  • Circulation Services

    Provides service desks at Branson and Zuhl libraries to answer basic information questions and to check-out, check-in, or request desired materials.

  • Copy Services

    Offers a variety of high-quality printing and scanning services. Supplies are also available for sale at the service desk, conveniently located on the 1st floor of Zuhl library.

  • Periodicals & Media

    Maintains all current journal issues, newspapers, microform, and media materials. Collections are housed in, and adjacent to, the Branson library service desk.

  • Request It! - Information Delivery Services (IDS)

    Fills requests for books, articles, and other resources from the libraryís collections or another library/information provider.

  • Reserves

    Offers easy access to course-related or other materials set apart from the general collection and made available to a designated class or other user group.

  • Shelving

    Provides maintenance and structure for the circulating collections at Branson and Zuhl libraries, ensuring equity of access to over one million items.

8:00am - 5:00pm Monday-Friday
