The New Mexico State University Library currently has the following temporary position open:
The NMSU Library seeks two reference librarians to provide reference and research assistance to library users in multiple formats including face to face, telephone and online. Work schedule may include both daytime and evening/weekend shifts. Other duties may include assisting with instruction (tours, classes, resource guide development) and collection development (ordering materials in assigned areas), depending on experience. Other projects may also be assigned.
Required: MLIS or equivalent degree from an ALA-accredited program, knowledge of a wide range of print and electronic information sources, computer skills, academic library or reference experience, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ability to work independently and collegially, availability to work up to 19 hours/week.
Preferred: experience providing reference and instruction services in an academic library environment, experience with collection development.
