Seminar on Library Citation Database Announced

Are you interested in learning who is citing your publications? Would you like to do your search electronically? The NMSU Library is offering a seminar on how to use the electronic Web of Science citation index on Friday, November 3, from 2:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the Zuhl Library electronic classroom.

Library reference department head Cindy Pierard said, "This training will help faculty and graduate students use their research time more efficiently. Web of Science can be used to reveal patterns of knowledge development and learn about seminal works on a topic."

Web of Science is available to the campus community through the NMSU Library's home page at http://lib.nmsu.edu/article.shtml.

Web of Science includes Science Citation Index Expanded and Social Sciences Citation Index. The seminar will be presented by a trainer from the database's publisher, ISI. Tips on searching and document handling will be covered.
