Mahaffy and Caufield Receive Teaching Academy Award

NMSU librarians Mardi Mahaffy and James Caufield have been awarded the NMSU Teaching Academy Outstanding Workshop Award. The honor was conferred at a ceremony at the Teaching Academy on May 3. Mahaffy and Caufield's workshop "Designing and Managing Student Research Assignments" was evaluated more favorably by participants than any other faculty workshop during the past academic year.

Mahaffy, the humanities reference librarian, joined the Library faculty in 2003. Caufield, the coordinator of library instruction, came to the Library in 2005. Both are assistant professors in the Reference and Research Services Department.
