New Mexico Library Association to Meet in Albuquerque

The New Mexico Library Association’s (NMLA) annual conference, “Sharing Ideas, Building Communities,” will be held at the Albuquerque Convention Center April 22-24.

Conference highlights include Toni Garvey, the director of the Phoenix Public Library, who will speak on “10 Things We Know to be True,” and library science educator and writer Michael Stephens, who will discuss “Trends and Technologies for the Hyperlinked Library.” The Youth Literature Luncheon will feature Neal Shusterman, the award-winning author of "Antsy Does Time" and "The Schwa Was Here."

Full conference registration fees are $125 for NMLA members and $150 for non-members.

At 5,000 feet above sea level and nestled between the towering Sandia Mountains and the Rio Grande Valley, Albuquerque is rich with culture, heritage and breathtaking landscapes, and it is equipped with vibrant energy that's indispensable to a fast-growing city.
