McKee Foundation Gives $10,000

New Mexico State University has received $10,000 from the Robert E. and Evelyn McKee Foundation of El Paso. The award will be used for the acquisition of current electronic engineering reference materials for the NMSU Library's collection.

Reference & Research Services librarian Theresa Valko said, "The NMSU Library is very fortunate to have the support of the McKee Foundation. Foundation President Louis McKee understands that the needs and interests of engineers are diverse. Through his generous contribution, he has again allowed the Library to expand its engineering collection through a focused purchase intended to support the NMSU College of Engineering's students and faculty."

The late Robert E. McKee is remembered as the "master builder" who built major structures in El Paso as well as Los Angeles, Dallas, Atlanta and other cities.
