Joan Jensen to Lecture, Sign Book
NMSU professor emerita Dr. Joan M. Jensen will lecture on "Going Home Again: Finding and Using Family History" on Thursday, September 21, at 7 p.m. on the fourth floor east of Branson Library. A reception and book signing will follow.
Jensen's most recent book is Calling This Place Home: Women on the Wisconsin Frontier, 1850-1925 (St. Paul: Minnesota Historical Society Press, 2006). A specialist in twentieth century U.S. history and women's history, she has authored several other histories. Jensen has received Fulbright awards to teach in Germany and India, and in 1993 she received the New Mexico Endowment for the Humanities Award for Excellence in the Humanities.
