French Archivist Visits Library

French archivist Carine Renoux recently visited the New Mexico State University Library as part of a Group Study Exchange sponsored by Rotary International.

Accompanied by Las Cruces Rotarian Charles Tharp, Ms. Renoux toured the Library's Archives and Special Collections Department. She discussed archival practices with four faculty members in the department.

Archivist Maura Kenny said, "It was a pleasure to meet Carine and compare notes with her."

Ms. Renoux is the archivist in charge of cultural event management for the Public Council of Ain, near Lyons. She also toured other archives in northern and southern New Mexico during her visit to the state.

Several years ago, Steve Hussman of the Library's archives spent a month in Norway as part of the same Rotary exchange program.
