Library Offers Guide to the 2008 Election
The New Mexico State University Library announces the creation of a 2008 Election Guide to answer questions that many voters have about the upcoming election. What do the tracking polls say today? Where can you vote early? How do the candidates stand on the issue of alternative energy sources? The financial crisis? The Iraq war? What is the electoral college and why is it important? What is the "Bradley effect"? How might increased cell phone ownership skew polling results?
You can find answers to all these questions and more at the NMSU Library's 2008 Election Guide at http://nmsu.libguides.com/election2008.
Librarian Susan Beck created the guide, one of a new series of library guides, to inform voters about the current slate of state and federal candidates as well as the state and federal election process. "The 2008 Election Guide provides up-to-the-minute news feeds, links to information about campaign finance, current voting technology and opinion polls," said Beck.
For more information, contact Beck at (575) 646-6171 or the NMSU Library reference desk at (575) 646-5792.
