Sarah Baker Awarded Scholarship
A New Mexico State University Library reference librarian, Sarah Baker, has received a scholarship awarded by the Association of College and Research Libraries (ACRL), a division of the American Library Association.
Baker, a social sciences librarian who works in Zuhl Library, said that the $600 competitive award will help with the registration fee for the ACRL Immersion '08 Teacher Track program to be held at the University of California, San Diego, July 27 through August 1.
The program will focus on extending information literacy instruction skills through training in classroom techniques, learning theory, leadership and assessment of student learning. Attendees will participate in teaching activities and receive feedback from colleagues and program faculty.
For more information, contact Baker at (575) 646-6087.
