Library Offers Free Seminar on Citation Searching

The NMSU Library is sponsoring a free public seminar on the Web of Science on Wednesday, November 12, from 3 to 4:30 p.m. in the Branson Classroom on the first floor of Branson Library. The seminar will be presented by Liz Pysar, the customer education specialist for Thomson Reuters.

The session will help researchers learn how to use the Web of Science electronic resource, including Science Citation Index and Social Sciences Citation Index.

Topics covered will include advanced set and field combination searching, citation searching that enables you to search through time and across disciplines, citation graphs and mapping, refining and analyzing results, organizing records, exporting results, saving your search history, setting up alerts, and how to use Researcher ID, a unique researcher discovery and networking tool.
