University Library Offers Tours

The New Mexico State University Library is offering tours of its facilities to introduce the many resources it has to offer. Anyone may attend, and it is not necessary to sign up in advance. Each tour will include both Zuhl and Branson libraries.

Wendy Simpson of the Library staff said, "A library can be a very complex place, but fortunately there are people who can help."

She said that questions that will be answered include:

-- How do I find resources for my research paper?
-- Where are the books about my major?
-- Are there quiet areas where I can study?
-- Can I use the computers?
-- When is the library open?

Tours will last about fifty minutes. Students can get a certificate of attendance that instructors may choose to count toward extra credit. Those wishing to attend are asked to gather at the Zuhl Library reference desk at the following times:

Tuesday, January 22, 10:20-11:10 p.m.
Wednesday, January 23, 12:30-1:20 p.m.
Thursday, January 24, 1:10-2:00 p.m.
Monday, January 28, 2:30-3:20 p.m.

Information on the tours is available at http://lib.nmsu.edu/instruction/tours.htm. If you cannot attend at the times announced but would still like a tour, please contact Simpson at (575) 646-4129 or wsimpson@lib.nmsu.edu.
