Adds New Electronic Classroom
by Sylvia Ortiz, Associate
Professor, Branson Reference, sortiz@lib.nmsu.edu
The Branson Hall Title V
Classroom is nearing completion in time for New Mexico
State University’s Fall Semester. An
area on the third floor east of Branson Hall has been renovated with funds from
a U.S. Department of Education Title V campus-wide grant from the Developing
Hispanic-Serving Institutions Program.
The new electronic classroom will serve primarily to teach NMSU faculty
members how to incorporate teaching technologies into their curricula. A schedule of classes will be announced. The menu of possible teaching technologies
includes Microsoft Powerpoint,
WebCT, Microsoft Front Page and Adobe Illustrator,
among others. If you are interested in
particular software, contact Sylvia
Ortiz, Library project director, at 646-7481 or sortiz@lib.nmsu.edu and
offer your suggestions.
